28+ Weeks

How far along? 28 w 4d. (Third trimester! So, only 10-12 more weeks before we get to meet our little Esme!) I'm so ready to be done with pregnancy. It hasn't been that bad but all the physical restrictions are making me incredibly antsy, especially with the summer coming up. I want to be outside running and playing beach volleyball!

Size of Esme? About 15.25 inches and 2.5 lbs.

Movement: Smaller movements than before but I think it's because she has less room to squirm around. She's still a JJB though!

Miss Anything? Sunshine. Exercise. Sleep and feeling

Best moment this week? My volleyball team winning their finals match! Also, spending time with David and having the wall wheel art turn out so well.

Sleep? I have been incredibly tired but actually sleeping this week has been intermittent.

Stretch marks? Nothing new, thank goodness!

Food cravings: Pasta and other Italian food.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week. YAY!

Labor Signs: No.

Symptoms:  More Edema and tingly limbs. Less leg cramps this week but I've increased my iron and potassium intake this week. Also, fatigue and lots of visits to the bathroom.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Belly Button in or out? Innie.

Looking forward to?  Getting my hair done tomorrow. It's a weird thing to look forward to, I know, but I've felt so gross and unattractive lately that I think getting pampered a little will help me feel better about the next 2 months. I'm also looking forward to getting the rest of the yarn in the mail so I can complete the wheel wall art.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but oddly moody when I hear whistling. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Very weird. All the rain is also putting a damper on good moods. I can tell a definite difference in my mood when it's sunny and when it's overcast and raining. S.A.D. is in full effect! I'm usually pretty happy at night though!

  1. I hope the sun comes out soon!
    Third trimester YIPPEE!
Did you get to try the pregnancy exercise class?

    1. I have a class tomorrow night. I hope it's good! I'll start walking at the gym more once school ends and I have my days free. I also need to create a weight routine for arms and core so I don't have to work so hard after Esme arrives. Lots of exercise to do!! It's just hard after working since I'm so pooped so I'm looking forward to my days off.

  2. P.S. I love this font what is it? :-)

  3. What is "Wheel Wall Art?"

    1. look at the previous post "DIY wall art"...

    2. Oops! I must have missed that blog post. Thanks for the picture. Very interesting display.

  4. Hi Honey. I was looking at all your previous picture (ideas) for Esme's nursery...did you still land on the woodland flower dust ruffle as part of your design plan? Do you have any current pictures of your progress? Love those pictures :) I am finally mailing your 'box o' fun stuff' tomorrow so keep your eyes open for it. Lotso love to you three. MA

    1. Hey Ma,

The woodland crib skirt is definitely being used! David's aunt Karen is sewing it for us and will look really similar to the bed skirt here: Since we will most likely be moving back to the US when Esme is 2 months old we don't really have a nursery set up. The current guest room has piles of baby stuff but nothing is really decorated. The crib is still in Virginia so she will be sleeping in a portable rocking cradle at the side of our bed. The changing table David and I are refinishing will be blogged about when it's finished but that could be in a month or so. I will take some pictures of the framed prints we have so far as well as the poms I made to go above the changing table. I'll add them to the blog later this week. I have one more wall art project planned that I hope to start Wednesday and I'm taking a sewing class to make Esme's hanging mobile. Those will all be blogged about some point.

Looking forward to a box of goodies! I'll let you know when it arrives.
